Nail art is really fine and the amount of color that comes out is really controlled so it just doesn't get messy. Within a few minutes of practice, you can be your own nail artist. If you mess up, just wipe it away. It is a water based paint, so while it does wipe away quickly, you need to let it dry for about 5 minutes and then seal your finished work with a top coat to make it last.
